FAITH STATEMENT

Our Foundation

WWe believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is God’s complete written revelation to humanity and is sufficient for salvation, doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

The Scriptures are our supreme authority in every matter of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

Key Scriptures

  • Hebrews 4:12
  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17
  • 2 Peter 1:20–21
  • Psalm 119:105

We believe there is one eternal God who exists in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are co-equal, co-eternal, and of one divine essence.

God alone is worthy of worship, honor, glory, and obedience.

Key Scriptures

  • 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • Deuteronomy 6:4
  • Matthew 28:19
  • John 1:1–3

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, fulfilled Old Testament prophecy, died on the cross as the once-for-all sacrifice for sin, was buried, physically rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will personally return in power and glory.

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man.

He is the only Savior of the world.

Key Scriptures

  • Hebrews 4:15
  • John 1:1–18
  • Isaiah 53
  • Luke 1:34–35
  • Romans 5:8
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
  • Acts 1:9–11

We believe the Holy Spirit is God.

He convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells every Christian, seals them for the day of redemption, empowers holy living, equips believers for ministry, and produces spiritual fruit.

The Holy Spirit glorifies Christ and never draws attention away from Him.

Key Scriptures

  • Galatians 5:22–23
  • John 14:16–17
  • John 16:7–15
  • Romans 8:9–16
  • Ephesians 1:13–14

We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and value.

However, because of Adam’s sin, all people are born with a sinful nature, are separated from God, and are unable to save themselves apart from God’s grace.

Every person needs forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Key Scriptures

  • Ephesians 2:1–3
  • Genesis 1:26–27
  • Romans 3:10–23
  • Romans 5:12

We believe salvation is entirely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

No one can earn salvation through good works, religious activity, baptism, morality, or church membership.

Jesus Christ alone paid the penalty for sin through His death and resurrection.

Those who repent and place their faith in Christ are forgiven, justified, regenerated, adopted into God’s family, and receive eternal life.

Key Scriptures

  • Titus 3:5
  • John 3:16
  • John 14:6
  • Acts 4:12
  • Romans 10:9–10
  • Ephesians 2:8–9

We believe the Church consists of all true believers in Jesus Christ.

Christ is the Head of the Church.

The local church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, teach God’s Word, observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper, encourage believers, and serve the world in Christ’s name.

We encourage every believer to be actively involved in a biblically faithful local church.

Key Scriptures

  • Hebrews 10:24–25
  • Matthew 28:18–20
  • Acts 2:41–47
  • Ephesians 4:11–16

We believe baptism is an outward testimony of an inward transformation that follows salvation.

We believe the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice until He returns.

Neither ordinance saves; both proclaim the Gospel and strengthen the believer’s faith.

Key Scriptures

  • 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
  • Matthew 28:19
  • Romans 6:3–4

We believe every believer is called to pursue holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Christians are to love God, love others, walk in obedience, grow in biblical maturity, serve faithfully, forgive freely, and share the Gospel boldly.

Our lives should reflect the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Key Scriptures

  • Romans 12:1–2
  • Galatians 2:20
  • Colossians 3:12–17
  • James 1:22

We believe every follower of Jesus Christ has been commissioned to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

Evangelism is not reserved for pastors or missionaries—it is the responsibility and privilege of every believer.

This calling shapes the heart of Grateful Journeys Ministry.

Key Scriptures

  • Matthew 28:18–20
  • Mark 16:15
  • Romans 10:13–15
  • 2 Corinthians 5:18–21

We believe Jesus Christ will personally, visibly, and bodily return to establish His kingdom.

Believers are called to live with hope, expectancy, faithfulness, and readiness as we await His return.

Key Scriptures

  • John 14:1–3
  • Acts 1:11
  • 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18
  • Revelation 22:20

We believe every person will spend eternity either in the presence of God or separated from Him.

Those who have trusted Jesus Christ alone for salvation will enjoy everlasting life with Him.

Those who reject Christ will experience eternal separation from God.

This reality compels us to proclaim the Gospel with love, urgency, compassion, and truth.

Key Scriptures

  • John 5:24
  • Matthew 25:31–46
  • Revelation 20:11–15
  • Revelation 21:1–8

Everything we teach, publish, and proclaim is rooted in the authority of Scripture and centered on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that through faithful Bible teaching, compassionate discipleship, and the power of the Gospel, people will come to know Christ, grow in their faith, and faithfully follow Him for the glory of God.

Our Mission

Following Jesus. Proclaiming the Gospel. Teaching God’s Word. Making Disciples.
