Rescue Myself From Myself?

I know first hand the power of God’s amazing grace which has come to my rescue to save me from myself and restore me to what I was created to be. Rescue is a big part of redemption, so is restoration. Neither myself or I believe anyone else can do either one themselves and most likely find it hard to admit we have a problem we can’t solve.

I tried many times to fool myself and not take responsibility for my own actions. I was an expert at blaming all the things around me while ignoring the hard to accept truth. I was my own biggest problem and I needed help. Through God’s word I realized that I wasn’t left on my own and God was always in control and has His own agenda of rescue and restoration.

His agenda included awesome grace extended to me, the lost person that I was. This grace included rescue because I could not escape myself, and it also came with restoration because I could not transform myself into what God created and redeemed me to be. Denying God never led me anywhere good and I denied Him for too long! So I thank God for all that He has done in my life and for giving me the hope of eternal life in His Kingdom. I will continue to use His word to never forget how much I need what has been given to me so freely!
